Disagreement Over Surrogacy By Actor Nayanthara And Husband Vignesh
The Tamil Nadu health authorities will be investigating Tamil actress Nayanthara and her director spouse Vignesh Shivan after they made the announcement that they had become parents of twin boys. When asked by reporters about a potential breach of the surrogacy laws, the state’s minister of health responded that they will look into the situation.

Following controversy in June of this year with a juvenile being coerced into giving oocytes, the state government implemented stricter regulations.
Laws governing surrogacy were changed in January to prevent commercial exploitation of the practice. According to doctors, Nayanthara and her spouse might have conceived the children prior to the law’s amendment.
