Nutritionist Dominique Ludwig has introduced a dish that she regards as among the healthiest globally. Her three-course meal aims to deliver a variety of nutrients that promote heart health, brain function, and gut health. Every dish is thoughtfully created to blend flavors, textures, and nutrients that will please your palate and enrich your body.
Labneh cheese accompanied by roasted tomatoes and broccoli
313 calories, 24g of protein, 5g of fiber
Dominique states that the blend of protein and prebiotics in labneh, a fermented cheese from the Middle East, renders it an exceptionally nutritious appetizer. Each serving provides 14g of protein, promoting prolonged satiety and aiding in the maintenance of improved blood sugar levels, as stated by Dominique. Additionally, tomatoes support our cardiovascular health due to their rich content of a potent antioxidant known as lycopene… “Broccoli is rich in magnesium, essential for more than 300 enzyme reactions in the body and vital for soothing our nervous system,” she stated.
Mains : Citrus mackerel salad
630 calories, 29g of protein, 16g of fiber
According to Dominique, this primary dish is excellent for your brain, heart, and gut, and is a lively and tasty selection that merges the richness of mackerel with the vibrancy of citrus. Mackerel is among the limited foods that inherently include some vitamin D, which is crucial for managing our immune system, she points out. Dominique suggests pan-searing the fish in a bit of extra virgin olive oil, which is rich in heart-healthy monounsaturated fats and is also high in polyphenols.
Dessert: Chocolate mousse made with tofu and topped with blueberries.
250 calories, 7 grams of protein, 5 grams of fiber.
Although desserts typically contain high amounts of sugar and calories, one can create a delightful treat that is both nutritious and tasty. As per Dominique, silken tofu and tahini contain high levels of calcium, benefiting bone density and facilitating normal muscle contractions, while silken tofu additionally provides protein and magnesium. Cacao serves as a source of iron, magnesium, and zinc, which contribute to maintaining healthy energy levels, muscle performance, and nervous system function.
