According to Elon Musk, Grok 5 training will begin in a few weeks and could lead to AGI.

Every day, artificial intelligence continues to advance. Massive volumes of data can be analyzed and computed by models like Elon Musk’s Grok and OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) has not yet been attained by any Large Language Model (LLM). With Grok 5, Elon Musk has now alluded to the possibility that his business, xAI, may eventually achieve AGI.

Elon Musk responded on X to a post about the public leaderboard for the ARC-AGI test, which showed that Grok 4-based models were receiving the highest results. Musk hinted that the upcoming model will only get better when he said that Grok 5 will begin training in a few weeks.

The ARC-AGI test tests an AI’s ability to solve problems without prior information in order to assess its potential for adaptation and generalization. To put it simply, the closer the AI gets to AGI, the higher the score.

In a separate post, a user claimed that Grok 4 was the closest to reaching AGI compared to any other LLM. Elon Musk replied to this post, stating, “I now think xAI has a chance of reaching AGI with Grok 5.” The American billionaire seemed to be impressed with his model, admitting that he “never thought that before.” Although Musk made a similar comment last month .
