After Kader Khan And Aruna Irani Slapped Him So Hard He Dropped To The Ground, Shakti Kapoor Claims He Was Prepared To Leave Bollywood

Veteran actor Shakti Kapoor nearly left Bollywood after receiving a slap on the set of his 1983 film, Mawaali, believing that his career was ended. Shakti Kapoor said on the most recent episode of The Kapil Sharma Show that Kader Khan and Aruna Irani smacked him for a scene in the movie.
The actor claimed in a DNA article that he chose to appear in Mawaali following the success of his debut comedy movie, Satte Pe Satta. However, he informed Kader Khan that he intended to stop acting during the film’s production. Jeetendra, Sridevi, and Jaya Prada starred in Mawaali.
According to Kapoor, it was action director Veeru Devgan who came to his help and advised him to continue with the film because it would be good for his career.
The actor admitted on the program that he had yearned to play a traditional hero but that he could still succeed by sticking to comedic movies.
