Amit Shah Accuses Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren of ‘Land Jihad’ and ‘Love Jihad’ Amidst Political Controversy

In a sharp political critique, Union Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah has accused Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren of engaging in practices he terms ‘Land Jihad’ and ‘Love Jihad,’ which, according to Shah, are contributing to demographic shifts in the state. Shah’s remarks were made during a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) meeting in Ranchi, where he criticized the current leadership under Soren, who recently resumed office following a stint in jail related to a money-laundering case.

Shah’s speech underscored his appeal to tribal communities, urging them to vote for a government that would address what he described as infiltration threats impacting both land and forest resources in Jharkhand. He criticized the Congress party, Hemant Soren, and other associated officials, accusing them of undermining tribal interests through these alleged acts of ‘jihad.’
