Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan was recently seen on the sets of Salman Khan’s upcoming war drama Battle of Galwan in Ladakh, sparking a wave of speculation across social media. A photo circulating online shows Bachchan at the film’s high-altitude shoot location, leading fans to wonder if the megastar is making a cameo appearance or joining the cast in a key role.
The image, which quickly went viral on Reddit and X (formerly Twitter), features Bachchan standing near the crew amid the rugged terrain. Fans on Reddit’s Bollywood forums speculated that he could be playing a senior military official or a mentor figure to Khan’s character, while others suggested it might simply be a friendly visit to the film’s set.
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, Battle of Galwan is inspired by the 2020 clash between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley. The film, currently being shot in Leh and surrounding regions, stars Salman Khan in what is described as one of his most intense and patriotic roles. Production has reportedly been kept under tight security, with strict restrictions on mobile phones and photography.
Although the makers have not officially commented on Bachchan’s presence, industry insiders say his involvement—if confirmed—could elevate the film’s appeal, uniting two generations of Hindi cinema icons on screen.
Salman Khan has been spotted performing demanding action sequences during the Ladakh schedule, while the crew continues filming under challenging weather conditions. Fans are now eagerly awaiting an official announcement to clarify Bachchan’s role in the project.
With its grand scale, patriotic theme, and star-studded association, Battle of Galwan has already become one of Bollywood’s most anticipated releases, slated to hit theatres in 2026.
