The CJP declares that it will continue to be a “pressure group,” unveils national leadership, and plans a “Kya Bolti Public” tour starting on September 1

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) established its first national organisational structure on Thursday in an effort to build on the momentum of its recent Jantar Mantar protest. As a symbol of its next stage as a national public movement, it started a nationwide membership drive and presented a nationwide public outreach campaign. The pronouncements were made at the party’s National Working Committee meeting in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, when the CJP reaffirmed its intention to stay out of electoral politics while outlining its organisational agenda for the upcoming months.

The CJP appointed Abhijeet Dipke as its founder and national convener as part of its first national leadership. Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were designated as co-conveners. Ajinkya Shinde was named national organization in-charge, Deepak Baliyan was named organization co-in-charge, Aafreen Nawaz was named national secretary, Vijay Reddy Mallangi was named media lead, Ratna Singh was named legal affairs lead, Vaishnavi Gaur was named research and policy lead, Rohan Deshpande was named technology lead, and Yogesh Ingale was named finance lead.

In addition to the national appointments, the CJP designated zonal leaders, placing Yogesh Ingale in the West Zone, Deepak Baliyan in the North Zone, Vijay Reddy Mallangi in the South Zone, and Ankit Bhardwaj in the East and North East Zones.

Over the course of the next six months, the organization intends to create state coordination committees, Lok Sabha units, and local level coordination committees nationwide. The CJP also said that the ‘Kya Bolti Public’ countrywide listening tour, its main public outreach initiative, will start on September 1.

The CJP claims that its leadership would travel throughout India to interact directly with youth and collect public input in order to create a Youth Reform Charter that is driven by citizens. The proposed charter will emphasise institutional responsibility, education-to-employment integration, comprehensive education reform, solidarity, and partnerships with political parties, student organisations, and civil society organisations. Additionally, the organization promised to meet with organisations that had backed its recent campaign to express gratitude.

CJP has started registration for its nationwide membership campaign, encouraging residents, workers, young professionals, and students to join the cause, marking another organisational milestone. It stated that updates on state-by-state expansion and membership numbers would be given on a regular basis. Simultaneously, the organization made it clear that it does not accept donations from the general public and warned against making any fundraising requests in its name. It stated that only its official website and verified social media outlets would be used to announce any future cash donation mechanisms.
