Nepal-China Flood Death Toll Crosses 1,270 as Rescue Operations Continue

Rescue and recovery operations continued in Nepal and China’s Tibet region on Thursday after devastating floods and landslides left more than 1,270 people dead and thousands of others missing. The disaster has caused widespread destruction across remote mountainous areas, with authorities facing major challenges in reaching communities cut off by damaged roads and infrastructure.
