Allcargo Logistics Announces ₹1,000 Crore Investment for Warehouse Project at Dankuni

KOLKATA: Allcargo Logistics announced an investment of ₹1,000 crore towards the development of a major warehouse facility at Pratham Dealmark Industrial Park in Dankuni, West Bengal. The investment marked a significant development for the state’s warehousing and logistics sector and was expected to strengthen Dankuni’s position as an important destination for industrial, distribution and supply-chain operations.

The proposed warehouse facility was expected to cater to the growing demand for modern logistics infrastructure driven by industrial expansion, e-commerce, organised retail and evolving distribution networks. Strategically located in Dankuni, the facility was expected to benefit from the region’s connectivity to Kolkata and key industrial and consumption markets, supporting the efficient movement, storage and distribution of goods.

The announcement was made in the presence of Ms. Nishita Katriar, Managing Director, Pratham Dealmark Private Limited; Mr. Ram Walase, CEO – Real Estate & Head – Global Procurement, Allcargo; Mr. Soumitra Banerjee, CEO, Pratham Dealmark Private Limited; and Ms. Ananya Kaushik, Director, Pratham Dealmark Private Limited.

Ms. Nishita Katriar, Managing Director, Pratham Dealmark Private Limited, said, “The ₹1,000 crore investment by Allcargo Logistics marked an important milestone for Pratham Dealmark Industrial Park and reinforced Dankuni’s emergence as a strategic logistics destination. The investment was expected to significantly expand organised warehousing capacity in the region and support businesses with efficient storage, inventory management, transportation and distribution solutions. The project could also create direct and indirect employment opportunities across warehousing, logistics, transportation, facility management and allied sectors.

The development reflected the growing importance of integrated logistics infrastructure in supporting West Bengal’s industrial and commercial growth. Pratham Dealmark Industrial Park was positioned to facilitate large-scale warehousing and logistics operations, while Allcargo Logistics’ investment highlighted the increasing demand for modern supply-chain facilities in strategically located industrial zones.

The proposed warehouse project was expected to contribute to Dankuni’s continued emergence as a major logistics and warehousing hub and support West Bengal’s broader ambitions to strengthen its industrial infrastructure and supply-chain capabilities.
