Arshdeep Singh Dismisses Concerns About India’s Long Tail After T20 Loss

Arshdeep Singh, the left-arm seamer, has shrugged off worries about India’s long tail in the wake of their unexpected defeat in the first T20 International against the West Indies, suggesting that such concerns are only raised after a loss.

In the first game of the five-match series, India’s list of specialist batters ended with Sanju Samson at number six, leading to questions about the team’s batting order. The match resulted in a narrow four-run victory for the West Indies.

When questioned about the concerns surrounding the batting order, which features Axar Patel, a left-arm spinner with improved batting skills, at number seven, Arshdeep stated, “Not really.” He seemed unfazed by the situation and remained optimistic about the team’s overall performance. It’s common for cricket teams to analyse and reevaluate their strategies after a defeat, and Arshdeep’s response indicates the team’s determination to bounce back and address any potential issues.
