Assam State Commission Empowers Citizens to Ensure Timely Public Services

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma elaborated on the consequences for cases where services are not executed within the predefined timelines. If it is determined that the delay is a result of negligence or inefficiency, the implicated individual will be subject to a monetary penalty. The fine, set at Rs 100 per day, aims to incentivize swift and efficient service completion, while simultaneously discouraging any form of bureaucratic sluggishness.
