At 77, Mumtaz steals the spotlight for Manish Malhotra while Rekha applauds her.

Manish Malhotra presented his stunning collection on Monday night at the Hindustan Times India’s Most Stylish event. At the event, Mumtaz was the showstopper for the designer, marking her runway debut alongside actors such as Shilpa Shetty, Urmila Matondkar, and Khushi Kapoor. At the fashion show, veteran actress Rekha applauded Mumtaz as she made her ramp debut at the age of 77. In a video posted by Iulia Vantur, Rekha is seen applauding Mumtaz with a standing ovation, alongside FDCI president Sunil Sethi and the attendees at the event.

The iconic Mumtaz donned a stunning black saree for her debut on the runway. The chiffon drape showcases intricate, colorful floral embroidery, sparkling sequin accents, and tassels along the pallu edge. Manish combined it with a coordinating black blouse that has full-length sleeves embellished with tassels, a V neckline, and a cropped hemline accented with black beads.

The 77-year-old celebrity accessorized the nine yards with a stunning necklace, decorated heels, rings, and earrings. Mumtaz opted for a dewy, blush-pink glam look with her hair styled in loose waves and a side part.

At the same time, Manish Malhotra outfitted Shilpa Shetty in a white saree featuring floral embroidery, complemented by a halter-neck blouse adorned with pearls. She accessorized the nine yards with diamond earrings, gold bracelets, and rings. Shilpa opted for a side-parting with her hair down, selecting sparkling eye shadow, glossy caramel lips, rosy cheeks, and feathered eyebrows.

Urmila donned a silk-satin saree with a corset design, complemented by a matching full-length trench coat embellished with red gemstones at the cuffs. She accessorized the outfit with coordinating earrings, rings, flowing hair, and understated glamour. Finally, Khushi Kapoor showcased Gen-Z charm with her contemporary pre-draped saree adorned with a thigh-high slit and vibrant embellishments.
