Guwahati witnessed a major boost to its urban infrastructure as Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the newly constructed Bharalumukh Flyover on Tuesday. The flyover has been named in honour of former Union Law Minister Dinesh Goswami, recognising his contributions to public life.

Located in one of the city’s busiest corridors, the Bharalumukh Flyover is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity between key commercial and residential areas. The project forms part of the state government’s broader push to modernise infrastructure and support Guwahati’s rapid urban growth.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said the flyover would enhance daily commuting and stimulate economic activity in the region. He also paid tribute to Dinesh Goswami’s legacy, highlighting his commitment to democratic reforms and public service. The inauguration marks another milestone in Assam’s ongoing development initiatives.
