Blake Lively Vows to Continue Legal Fight After Court Narrows Claims in Justin Baldoni Case

Hollywood actor Blake Lively has said she will continue pursuing her legal battle against Justin Baldoni, following a recent court ruling that dismissed several of her claims in an ongoing dispute linked to the film It Ends with Us.
In a statement shared on social media, Lively described the situation as “unfathomably painful” but reaffirmed her determination to seek justice. She stated that she remains committed to exposing systems that silence or retaliate against individuals who raise concerns about workplace safety and misconduct.
The development comes after a federal judge dismissed a majority of the claims filed by Lively, including those related to sexual harassment. However, the court allowed key aspects of the case to proceed, including allegations of breach of contract and retaliation involving Baldoni’s production company, Wayfarer Studios. The case is now expected to move toward trial.
Reacting to the ruling, Lively expressed gratitude that core elements of her lawsuit remain intact, allowing her to present her case before a jury. She said the legal process is not only about her own experience but also about ensuring that others facing similar situations have a voice.
The actor also revealed that she had not initially intended to pursue legal action, but felt compelled to do so after her concerns about a safe working environment were allegedly not addressed. She warned against trivialising the issue as online drama, emphasising that digital harassment and retaliation can have serious real-world consequences.
The dispute traces back to late 2024, when Lively filed a complaint against Baldoni over alleged on-set issues during the production of the film adaptation of It Ends with Us. Baldoni has denied the accusations. As the case heads toward trial, the legal battle continues to draw attention within the entertainment industry, raising broader questions about workplace conduct, accountability, and the challenges faced by individuals speaking out.
