BOBBY CHAKRABORTY PAYS HOMAGE TO THE ELDEST SOLDIER IN HIS ARMY-LATE MR.NITAI NASKAR
Here is Bobby, who was very close to Nitai Sir's heart, paying tribute to his eldest soldier :-

Mr.Nitai Naskar, retired Headmaster of Teghariya Vidyapeeth, Sonarpur, who has been an ardent supporter and an active soldier in actor/activist/teacher of method acting,Bobby Chakraborty’s global awareness program ‘I AM THE KING OF MY MIND’ , passed away due to a sudden cardiac arrest on October 12th 2025,at the age of 74.
Here is Bobby, who was very close to Nitai Sir’s heart, paying tribute to his eldest soldier :-
“I met Nitai Sir in 2012 when I went for my anti addiction campaign at Teghariya Vidyapeeth. He had already retired from that school, but was invited by the School Committee to be a part of the event. He had sat throughout the event and watched the euphoria among the students. After the session ended, he said “Bobby this awareness program is fantastic and must reach all the Government Sponsored schools in 24 Parganas(South) . I will help you out with that ”…and thus started a long association of Nitai Sir and my anti addiction campaign. He was solely responsible in organising more than 40 of my sessions in schools, all around 24 Parganas (South) , where he would personally travel with me and be present throughout the sessions…sharing the same amount of passion and responsibility towards the cause like me….something I haven’t seen in any person, definitely not from the education sector or otherwise!
In the past 2 decades of my life as a social activist, trying to raise an awareness globally, against all sorts of addiction(cigarettes/
1) (a) People who are well secured, powerful and well connected…and as it goes…security/power kills the social responsibility in a person ,who wouldn’t care a bit about raising a voice against these social vices or help me spread the awareness.
(b) People who live in their own La-La land of denial about these vices existing among the youth, painting a hunky dory picture around them, living in a bubble and hence wouldn’t do absolutely anything to collaborate with me to spread this awareness.
(c) People who themselves are caught up deep in these vices and hence the monster of addiction in them would stop them from spreading a voice against it.
This first category comprises of the 90% of people I know of or stumbled upon in my life till now.
2) This 2nd category of people I have come across, which comprises of 8% of my total acquaintances so far, is very interesting. This contains those strange people who have appreciated me and my work in glorious words, but in ‘PRIVATE’!
They are those who understood the importance of this awareness, collaborated with me, but tried their level best to keep it under wraps…so that their association with this work isn’t made public!!
3) The rest of the miniscule 2% are those I have met, who are of the same frequency as mine, equally socially responsible like me and would go all guns blazing with me to secure a better future for the youth, who are actually our future, without any material gains in mind. They are those select few, who would want to give back to the society through their good work and Nitai Sir sits right at the top of these rare gems among those 2%!
He could have bypassed me after the session in 2012 but he didn’t. Personally he went ahead and spoke with each and every Headmasters he knew of in 24 Parganas (South), to organize my sessions in those schools…a process I go through on a daily basis, trying to collaborate with thousands of educators/heads of institutions/administrators all around the world…and I know for sure, how difficult it is to find those rare 2% among them, even if this awareness is the need of the hour…even if the youth are in grave danger…even if I am doing this for free!!
Dear Nitai Sir, I have shared some noteworthy experiences with you, in all the rural schools we have travelled together. You have always motivated me to focus on my goal, come what may! I feel happy that I could felicitate you in the 2nd session at your own school in 2017. A person so honest, warm at heart and filled with values like you, is a rarity in today’s world, inundated with scamsters and megalomaniacs. You have been a father figure for me and I feel I have lost my father for the 2nd time within a year! Rest in Peace Sir.
