At a G20 social gathering on Saturday, Brazil’s first lady Janja Lula da Silva cursed at billionaire Elon Musk while discussing the necessity of social media regulation to control false information.
A ship’s horn sounded as she spoke and she joked, “I think it’s Elon Musk,” before adding, “I’m not afraid of you, fuck you, Elon Musk.”
A laughing out loud emoji graphic was posted by Musk, the owner of social network X, in response to a video of her comments. “They are going to lose the next election,” he continued in a another post, referring to President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
Prior to the G20 meeting of the biggest countries, which is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday in Rio de Janeiro, the president’s wife gave a speech at an event.
Due to Musk’s failure to designate a Brazilian lawyer and his disregard for court orders to remove accounts allegedly disseminating hate speech and “fake news,” his social messaging network was stopped in Brazil for a month this year.
