South Africa delivered a commanding performance against United Arab Emirates in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, cruising to a comfortable six-wicket victory and maintaining their unbeaten run in the group stage.

After being asked to field first, South Africa’s bowlers kept tight control over the UAE batting lineup. Corbin Bosch emerged as the standout performer with the ball, claiming three crucial wickets while conceding very few runs. His spell ensured that UAE never gained momentum and were restricted to a modest total of 122 for 6 in their 20 overs. Alishan Sharafu offered some resistance with a steady knock, but lacked support from the other batters.

In reply, the Proteas approached the chase with confidence. Aiden Markram set the tone early with a brisk cameo, while Ryan Rickelton added useful runs at the top of the order. Dewald Brevis then took charge of the innings, playing a composed and aggressive knock to guide his side safely to the target. South Africa reached the required score with several overs to spare, underlining their dominance in the contest.

With four wins from four matches in the group stage, South Africa move into the Super 8s full of confidence. The convincing victory over UAE has strengthened their momentum as they prepare for a high-profile Super 8 encounter against India, a match that is expected to test their form against one of the tournament’s strongest sides.
