Mohiniyattam Magic at India International Centre- A Mesmerising Evening with Vishnupriya Marar

New Delhi witnessed an enchanting Mohiniyattam recital as Vishnupriya Marar graced the stage at the prestigious India International Centre (IIC) under the Double Bill series.

The performance on 11 November opened with a serene Cholkettu in Revathi raga and Adi tala—an elegant invocation to Goddess Mookambika.

This was followed by the central piece, Varnam – “Kamita Varadayaka” in Sreeragam, beautifully depicting stories of Lord Shiva’s divine compassion and infinite strength.

The evening concluded with a vibrant Tillana in Revathi, celebrating the joy and rhythm of pure dance.

Each composition—choreographed by her guru, Dr. Neena Prasad—captured the lyrical grace, expressive depth, and timeless beauty of the Mohiniyattam tradition.
