The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) in New Delhi has provided significant relief to the nation’s millions of retirees. In order to accommodate seniors, EPFO has announced a modification in the submission requirements for life certificates.
Pensioners are always welcome to submit their Life Certificates. In the past, pensioners were required to produce life certificates in the month of November each year. Pensioners must provide a life certificate annually in order to receive their pension without interruption. This demonstrates the pensioner’s state of life.

This information was provided by EPFO via a tweet on its official Twitter account. According to the tweet, EPS-95 pensioners can now submit a life certificate at any moment. It will remain valid for a year after submission. That is, millions of retirees will no longer have to deal with the burden of submitting a life certificate in November alone.

The closest Common Service Center is where pensioners can turn in their Life Certificates. It can also be deposited in banks and post offices in addition to this.
Deposit
Even while seated at home, you can submit a life certificate. No trip to the bank or post office is required for this. Pensioners can submit a digital life certificate through the doorstep banking alliance of 12 public sector banks or the Department of Posts’ doorstep service, according to the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare.
Older pensioners will receive assistance
Older pensioners who have trouble gathering their biometrics (fingerprint and eye recognition) for submitting life certificates will benefit from facial recognition authentication. In a statement, the Labor Ministry said that Face Authentication Technology for retirees has been introduced by Union Labor and Employment Minister Bhupendra Yadav.
Prior to this, in order to further enhance EPFO services for pensioners, the plan for centralized pension distribution received in-principle approval from the Central Board of Trustees (CBT), the top body of the organization.
