Chhaava: Vicky Kaushal’s Film Receives Massive Love As Fans Pour Milk Over Posters And Perform Aarti

Chhaava, directed by Laxman Utekar, features Vicky Kaushal portraying Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Rashmika Mandanna portrays the character of his affectionate wife, Yesubai Bhonsale. The movie debuted with a huge Rs 31 crore on its first day, establishing it as Vicky’s largest opening so far. Despite receiving mixed reviews, the box office earnings continue to soar.

In the domestic market, the film experienced a 17.74% rise in box office earnings on its second day, raking in Rs 36.5 crore on Saturday.

Nonetheless, fans are showing Rajnikanth-like dedication to Vicky’s historical film. Numerous videos have recently become viral on the internet, capturing the height of fan excitement. These videos display fans pouring milk over enormous Chhaava film posters and engaging in aarti. They can also be heard shouting “Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj ki jai.”

A different video from a theatre in Hyderabad captures fans smashing a coconut and chanting “Har Har Mahadev” while doing aarti.

This kind of overwhelming affection from fans is not completely unprecedented. Southern stars like Rajinikanth, Thalapathy Vijay, and Ajith Kumar are familiar with this kind of acclaim. Vicky Kaushal appears to be the latest addition.

The movie is based on the Marathi book Chhava by Shivaji Sawant. The composition of the music is by A. R. Rahman, and the lyrics have been penned by Irshad Kamil. Vicky Kaushal is also set to work on Love & War with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, among his upcoming projects. He will appear alongside Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor.
