CM will conduct a meeting, and UP to  introduce an ordinance regarding food situations including spitting

To guarantee strict action over instances of spitting in food or providing food contaminated with spit, the Uttar Pradesh administration, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is scheduled to conduct a crucial meeting on Tuesday. ‘UP Prevention of Contamination in Food (Consumer Right to Know) Ordinance 2024’ and ‘Prevention of Pseudo and Anti-Harmony Activities and Prohibition of Spitting Ordinance 2024’ are scheduled to be introduced by the Yogi government.

At 6:30 p.m., Chief Minister Yogi will meet with the concerned officials, including Additional Chief Secretary Home Deepak Kumar, Ashish Singh (Home Department), and Sanjeev Gupta (Home Secretary DGP).With these regulations, the Uttar Pradesh government hopes to establish stringent rules against anyone who serve meals while spitting.

 In addition, it will enable each customer to have full knowledge about the food they are eating, including where it is prepared and by whom. A ‘Janta Darbar’ was hosted by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at the Gorakhnath temple earlier on Sunday. During the Darbar, the CM heard the people’s complaints and instructed the officials to address their issues.

Ten Assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh—Phulpur, Khair, Ghaziabad, Majhwan, Mirapur, Milkypur, Karhal, Katehari, Kundarki, and Sisamau—will be up for by-elections. Dates will probably be announced shortly by the Election Commission.Both the opposition parties and the BJP depend on the by-elections. Regaining its winning momentum in Uttar Pradesh would be of great interest to the BJP.

In addition to declaring candidates for six of the 10 seats, the Samajwadi Party has stated that it will run with the Congress in the by-elections.
