Daniel Radcliffe Reflects on Harry Potter TV Series Amid Tony Award Win

Daniel Radcliffe, renowned for his portrayal of Harry Potter in the film series, recently made headlines following his first Tony Award win. Amidst the buzz, Radcliffe shared his thoughts on the upcoming Harry Potter TV series adaptation.

Speaking to the media, Radcliffe expressed anticipation for the adaptation of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” into a television series. “The last one, I mean, it’ll be a while before they get to that, I assume, but that was always one of my favourite of the books and of the films,” he remarked.

Last April, Warner Bros. Discovery announced plans to produce a new Harry Potter series based on JK Rowling’s beloved novels. Reflecting on the impact of the series on its young actors, Radcliffe offered advice to the producers. “Just like, let them be kids still. I can’t imagine what it would have been like to do that in the age of social media. We were kind of a little bit before that,” he conveyed to ET.

Radcliffe, while enthusiastic about the continuation of the story, acknowledged he doesn’t foresee reprising his iconic role. “I doubt very much that they will,” he commented in a previous interview. “It seems to me that they are wanting to make a fresh series, which it feels like it’d be distracting to have old, haggard Harry also entering from stage left.”

Following his Tony Award win, where he was visibly moved and expressed gratitude to his fellow cast members, Radcliffe emphasized the significance of his Broadway experience. “Thank you so much to our cast, everybody on that stage. It is an honour to be on stage with you every single night, and I will miss it so much,” he stated.
