Despite its apology, Iran threatens Saudi Arabia and Dubai.

As the conflict began its seventh day, Israel launched a “broad-scale wave of strikes” utilizing 80 fighter jets against Tehran and Isfahan, the locations of important nuclear facilities, causing massive explosions throughout Iran. However, on Saturday, more drone and missile attacks occurred in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates, despite Iran’s president apologizing to the Gulf countries for the attacks. However, President Masoud Pezeshkian issued a warning to US President Donald Trump by promising to “never surrender” in a pre-recorded address. Trump declared on Friday that Tehran’s “unconditional surrender” is a must for US negotiations.

The Iranian president’s unexpected speech, in which he expressed regret to the Gulf countries following seven days of extensive strikes, was the main development of the eighth day. Iran would cease bombing its neighbors until the Gulf countries launched an attack on Tehran, according to Pezeshkian. Trump declared that Iran “will be hit very hard” today and referred to Tehran as the “loser of the Middle East” hours later. However, further drone and missile assaults occurred in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates following the speech. One of the busiest airports in the world, Dubai, temporarily halted operations when debris from a drone that the UAE’s air defenses had intercepted landed into the runway. A massive smoke cloud could be seen rising from the airport.

Additionally, the US-used Al-Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates was attacked twice this week. Drones were allegedly used to attack radar systems, a US air combat center, and a satellite communications hub, according to Iranian official media.

While Saudi Arabia said that 16 drones were intercepted on Saturday en route to Shaybah, one of the biggest oil sites in the Middle East, Qatar was able to fend off a ballistic missile attack. Additionally, Iran destroyed a crucial part of the United States’ THAAD missile defense system at Jordan’s Muwaffaq Salti Air Base.
