The Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar has officially been confirmed as a two-part film franchise, with the second installment slated to release on March 19, 2026, coinciding with the Eid festivities. The confirmation comes via the post-credits scene of the first film, which included a teaser hinting at the story to follow and a promise of continuation, keeping audiences eagerly anticipating the next chapter.

The first installment, which runs for 214 minutes, has already made headlines for being one of the longest recent Hindi films. Its sprawling narrative concludes with an open-ended climax, leaving room for the sequel to explore unresolved storylines and further develop its characters. The filmmakers’ decision to split the story into two parts was reportedly driven by the extensive footage and ambitious scope of the plot, ensuring that the saga receives a complete and detailed treatment.

With Part 2 set for Eid 2026, Dhurandhar faces a high-profile box office clash. It is expected to release alongside two major films: Toxic, starring Yash, and Dhamaal 4, featuring Ajay Devgn. The simultaneous release of these big-budget films is shaping up to be one of the most competitive box-office weekends of 2026, heightening anticipation among moviegoers and industry observers alike.

Produced under the banner of Jio Studios and directed by Aditya Dhar, the Dhurandhar franchise has been designed as a high-octane action-drama, combining intense sequences with a layered storyline. The makers have expressed confidence that the sequel will build on the success of the first film, offering audiences an even more gripping cinematic experience.

As the countdown begins for March 19, fans of Dhurandhar can look forward to the continuation of Ranveer Singh’s action-packed saga, which promises a blend of drama, thrills, and intricate storytelling. The sequel is expected to resolve the cliffhangers from the first part and deliver an engaging finale that cements the franchise’s place in contemporary Bollywood cinema.
