‘Didir Suraksha Kavach,’ A New Party Campaign By Mamata Banerjee
In preparation for the upcoming panchayat elections in April of this year, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee launched a fresh campaign for her party, the Trinamool Congress, or TMC.
Didi’s Suraksha Kavach, the party’s public relations initiative, will launch on January 10.
“The 10 crore residents of the state would be reached by around 3.5 lakh party members. No one is being left out, thus this is being done “She spoke.
“We must continue to serve the public. TMC is a nonprofit organization run by, for, and for the people “explained Ms. Banerjee.
Abhishek Banerjee, national general secretary of the TMC, was with the chief minister.
“On January 11, the party will launch its campaign, which will last for 60 days. To guarantee that everyone may take advantage of the state government’s welfare programs, our party activists will reach out to residents all around the state “said Abhishek Banerjee.
He said, “Every party leader, MP, and MLA will spend 10 nights at people’s homes.”
When questioned about whether the campaign was started with the panchayat elections in mind, Ms. Banerjee responded, “Duarey Sarkar began when? It is a never-ending process.”
Mamata Banerjee, a mass leader and typical firebrand grass-roots politician known for facing challenges head-on, will lay out how the party will address a number of issues, particularly the party’s reputation following the arrest of party leaders by central agencies, which the Trinamool has so far dismissed as vendetta politics.
An aggressive BJP that is currently re-strategizing after the TMC’s crushing defeat in the 2021 assembly elections poses a threat to the TMC.
The BJP is concentrating on the states where it did well in 2019. The party desires to expand on these victories. The Left, which lost the majority of votes in the assembly elections, is attempting to rally and make up lost ground.
In order to achieve a similar outcome in the Panchayat polls, which are viewed as a sign of a party’s hold over voters in the state, Mamata Banerjee will need to duplicate the TMC’s campaign from 2021 in some way. The Trinamool Congress feels it has a stake in Meghalaya and Tripura, two more states with elections in 2023, in addition to Bengal.
According to party sources, Mamata Banerjee will concentrate on how her administration performs with regard to state-run programs as well as the execution of federal programs, particularly the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
