The Telangana government has sent a notice to Diljit Dosanjh, who is currently in India on his Dil-Luminati tour, in advance of his performance in Hyderabad on Friday, November 15. The Punjabi artist has been advised not to sing songs that encourage violence, drugs, or alcohol in the notice. This order comes in response to a complaint made by Panditrao Dharenavar of Chandigarh, who presented video proof of Diljit lately playing songs that advocated violence, drugs, and drinking. Additionally, he was cautioned in the notice not to “use children” during his performance.
Following a submission by Dharenavar, the order was given by the Ranga Reddy district’s Department of Welfare for Women and Children, Disabled, and Senior Citizens. Diljit was also instructed in the notice to ensure that children younger than 13 are not exposed to noise levels higher than 120 dB. Therefore, if the peak sound pressure level is more than 120 dB during your live performance, youngsters shouldn’t be used on stage,” the warning stated.
Diljit’s Dil-Luminati tour will take him to a number of other Indian cities after New Delhi. Tickets for Diljit’s November 3 performance in Jaipur, Rajasthan, sold out in a matter of minutes. His next show is scheduled for November 15, 2024, in Hyderabad.
He will be seen at Ahmedabad two days later and Lucknow on November 22. The Udta Punjab singer will play at Pune on November 24 and Kolkata on November 30. In December of this year, Bengaluru, Indore, Chandigarh, and Guwahati will host the final four concerts. The Bandsintown website provided the details of Diljit’s performance in India.
