Employees At An Indian Tech Company Will Be Fined Rs 1 Lakh For Disrupting Coworkers On Their Days Off
Even if you adore your job, the last thing you want around the holidays is to be reminded of it. Spending time with your family while your phone is continuously buzzing with emails, messages, and notifications is not a pleasant experience. An Indian corporation has developed an intriguing program to address these problems and allow staff to peacefully spend their holidays. Employees who regularly bother their coworkers while they are on vacation, however, risk receiving a hefty charge.
The Dream11 Unplug policy was created by the fantasy sports company to allow employees to take their vacations without worrying about work-related emails, messages, or calls. Employees are permitted to disconnect from work and all job-related emails, texts, calls, and even their coworkers for a week under the new policy.
According to the company’s founders, Harsh Jain and Bhavit Seth, any employee who contacts another employee during the UNPLUG period will be subject to a hefty fine of Rs 1 Lakh. No matter what their position, when they joined the company, or any other criteria, everyone in the organization is entitled to Unplug time. The policy was implemented, according to the founders, in order to make sure that the business is not dependent on any one person.
According to reports, the new policy at the organization is well-liked by the staff.
