For those who lack patience, Elon Musk’s company X now provides a brief AI synopsis of lengthy publications 

For customers who lack the patience to read lengthy posts, Elon Musk’s company X (previously Twitter) has implemented a new feature. The recently released function employs AI to condense articles into bullet points so users can quickly choose whether it is worthwhile to read the entire piece.

Users only need to hit the Summarise button to obtain the summary. After that, the platform will provide an easy-to-read bullet point summary of the piece. X’s head of product Nikita Bier announced the rollout of the feature in a post on the platform. “We’re rolling out summaries for articles now. Just tap the Summarise button if you want to know if it’s worth your time to read it (or if your attention span is 12 seconds),” Nikita Bier said.

Users on the platform have responded to the functionality in different ways. Some users responded to Nikita Bier’s article by stating that the feature is a good product option and even proposing that summaries be produced automatically without the need for users to press a button. 

Others, however, criticized the feature, claiming it could serve as a spoiler by disclosing important details and diminishing the article’s overall value. The platform also unveiled a Listen function for Articles earlier on March 6. Users can listen to an article while browsing their timeline or even while on the go from the lock screen thanks to this capability.Grok voice technology powers the function.Currently, Premium and Premium Plus customers can access X Articles online. In India, Premium Plus costs Rs 2,570 a month, while X Premium is available for Rs 427. For the first two months, Premium will cost Rs 213.50, while Premium Plus would cost Rs 1,285. The platform is now providing a 50% discount.
