Four People Were Detained Days After Operations In Howrah Netted Millions Of Rupees.

A businessman from Howrah and his three friends were detained by Kolkata Police at their homes in Gujarat and Odisha in connection with an online fraud case.

Shailesh Pandey, the primary suspect, and his brothers Arvind and Rohit Pandey were named. In the investigation, the police also detained one of their associates.

A businessman named Shailesh Pandey and his brothers is accused of operating an online scam that recruited participants from Bengal and other states to learn how to make high-yield investments. An app for mobile devices was used to manage the operation.

In the past, the Kolkata Police has issued look-out circulars for them. Shailesh Pandey’s Howrah home was raided by the police last October 13, and 5.95 crore rupees in cash were taken.

Following the recovery of Rs 2 crore from Pandey’s automobile during a search operation on October 15, the police department’s anti-bank fraud division found additional cash at his second home.

Following targeted raids carried out over the previous few days, the police also banned Rs 20 crore from his two bank accounts.
