Four soldiers were murdered after an army truck rolled down a hill in Jammu and Kashmir.

Four soldiers were killed and three others injured after an Army truck transporting them lost control and tumbled down a hill in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipore area on Saturday. The tragedy happened when the driver lost control of the vehicle while attempting to negotiate a tight bend near the Sadar Koot Payen section of the district.
Some of the soldiers sustained significant injuries. After the tragedy, they were all brought to a local hospital. However, four troops died as a result of their injuries, while three others are claimed to be in stable condition and getting additional treatment.Security troops and police officers were present at the accident scene.

This is not the first accident involving an Army vehicle in the Union Territory. On December 24, 2024, five soldiers were killed and five others injured when an Army truck swerved off route and crashed down a 350-foot-deep canyon in Poonch region. The Army has ruled out any involvement by terrorists in the event.
On November 4, 2024, one Army man died and another was injured after their vehicle went off the road and plunged into a canyon in Rajouri district. On November 2, 2024, three people were killed, including a lady and her 10-month-old infant, and three others were gravely injured when their car went off a mountainous road and into a deep valley in Reasi district.
