Gesture of Contention: Rahul Gandhi’s Alleged ‘Flying Kiss’ Sparks Debate
A heated controversy ignited when Congress MP Rahul Gandhi allegedly directed a ‘flying kiss’ gesture towards BJP’s Smriti Irani during a parliamentary session. In response to the mounting scrutiny, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi stepped forward, deeming the gesture as “affectionate.” Chaturvedi’s perspective on the matter differed starkly from those accusing Gandhi, asserting that the alleged flying kiss was a symbol of goodwill rather than an offensive act.
