Shri Arun Arora, General Manager, Eastern Railway made sudden inspection at Sealdah station today (7.12.2022) to review all the all the development works over Sealdah station, viz., Executive lounge, upper class waiting room, second class waiting room, family mall, cafeteria & other kiosks. He was accompanied by Principal Chief Commercial Manager, Principal Chief Operations Manager, Principal Chief Security Commissioner, DRM/Sealdah and other divisional officers of Sealdah division.
GM/ER inspected display of digital train charting, digital navigation through QR Code to find out the exact location of the coaches or trains, passenger amenity points etc. He enquired about the beautification of the station building & circulating area as well as generation of non-fare revenue. He stressed upon the second entry through canal road and increase of platform length. He also inspected the ongoing development work of Prafulla Gate. He advised to prepare a development plan of station circulating area for the convenience of the passengers & rail users.
GM/ER expressed his satisfaction with the overall developmental work of Sealdah station and appreciated team Sealdah.
