Governor’s Medal Ceremony – 2022
On 8th July 2022, Governor’s Medal ceremony was held at NCC Training Institute (NCC Club House), Kolkata. A total of 56 NCC Cadets of West Bengal and Sikkim were felicitated during the ceremony. Major Gen. U. S. Sengupta, Additional Director General, NCC Directorate West Bengal and Sikkim presided over the ceremony and gave away the Governor’s Medal to all cadets on behalf of Honourable Governor of West Bengal, Shri Jagdeep Dhankar.
The felicitation ceremony was attended by Cadets, Officers and Permanent Instructor Staff. During his address Major Gen. U. S. Sengupta exhorted the NCC Cadets to strive for excellence and tirelessly contribute towards social causes. He informed the audience that the noble values and high ideals imbibed by NCC Cadets during their training instils a deep sense of purpose and ownership, as they prepare themselves to shoulder the onerous responsibilities of nation building.
Major Gen. U. S. Sengupta also thanked the Honourable Governor for bestowing his blessings to the cadets by presenting them with the Governor’s Medal, which will work as an immense motivation for all the cadets to strive for excellence. He also thanked the Department of Higher Education for their continuous support.
