The home of Lashkar terrorist Adil Hussain Thoker was destroyed with IEDs, while Asif Sheikh’s house in Tral was razed by a bulldozer. On Friday, security forces and J&K authorities demolished the houses of two terrorists suspected of involvement in the Pahalgam attack. The home of Lashkar terrorist Adil Hussain Thoker in Bijbehara was destroyed with IEDs, while Asif Sheikh’s house in Tral was taken down by a bulldozer.

Adil Thoker is thought to have been instrumental in assisting the Pakistani terrorists to organize and execute the assault in the picturesque Baisaran Valley, resulting in 26 fatalities. Thoker crossed into Pakistan in 2018 via the Attari-Wagah border in Punjab and underwent training at terror camps before returning to Jammu and Kashmir sometime in the previous year.

The Anantnag Police has declared a reward of Rs 20 lakh for details regarding Thoker and two Pakistanis – Ali Bhai and Hashim Musa – involved in the assault. The drawings of the three individuals have been shared as security personnel initiated a large-scale search for the assailants.

According to police, Musa and Ali have been operating in the valley for nearly two years. The assailants, thought to be 4-5 in total, came out from the thick pine forest encircling the Baisaran valley on Tuesday and began shooting randomly at tourists with AK-47 rifles.

Several survivors reported that the terrorists, dressed in military uniforms, inspected IDs to confirm religious affiliation and shot those recognized as non-Muslims without hesitation. An initial investigation revealed that the terrorists utilized body cameras and helmet-mounted cameras to capture the entire series of events.

The assailants had gathered dry fruits and medicines, signifying careful planning and preparation. The event, among the most lethal terrorist assaults in Kashmir in recent times, has triggered a significant diplomatic clash between India and Pakistan, with New Delhi blaming Islamabad indirectly for the tragedy.
