Celina Jaitly Alleges “Stripped of Everything” in Domestic Abuse Case Against Husband Peter Haag

Bollywood actress and former Miss India, Celina Jaitly, has filed a bombshell domestic violence case against her estranged husband, Austrian entrepreneur Peter Haag, in a Mumbai court. The petition, filed under the provisions of the Domestic Violence Act, levels “explosive” accusations of years of “severe emotional, physical, sexual and verbal abuse,” along with calculated financial ruin and manipulation.
According to the claims outlined by Jaitly and her lawyer, the abuse began almost immediately following their 2010 wedding and occurred across their residences in Italy, Dubai, Singapore, and Austria. Jaitly alleges Haag subjected her to consistent verbal humiliation, including repeatedly telling her she “looked like his maid,” and threatened her with disfigurement.
The petition also details horrific incidents of physical violence during her pregnancy. Jaitly claims Haag shouted at her while she was pregnant, struck her on the back during a dispute, and pushed her out of their apartment while she was recovering from a C-section. The actress ultimately fled Austria “with nothing,” stating she feared taking their three sons would lead to kidnapping accusations that could jeopardize her custody case.
The complaint heavily features claims of financial control. Jaitly asserts Haag “prohibited her from working” soon after marriage, allegedly stripping her of “financial independence and dignity” and causing an estimated loss of ₹50 crore in potential career earnings. Furthermore, she alleges Haag controlled her bank accounts, siphoned funds, and misused her debit and credit cards.
Perhaps the most manipulative claim is that Haag coerced Jaitly into transferring her Mumbai flat to him in 2017. The actress states he exploited her immense grief at the time, following the simultaneous loss of both her parents and one of her newborn twin sons.
Jaitly has also alleged that Haag has since blocked her access to their children, allowing only court-mandated or supervised visits. As of press time, Peter Haag has not issued a public statement regarding the serious allegations.
