IAS Officers Prioritize The Statue Of Unity For The Modi Aarambh Course
The fourth iteration of Aarambh will take place at the Statue of Unity, or SoU, at Kevadia on the banks of the Narmada River in Gujarat after a two-year hiatus. 443 students from the 97th Foundation Course of the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, including 11 from the Royal Bhutan Civil, Police, and Forest services, are expected to attend from October 28 to October 31.
On October 31, Sardar Patel’s birthday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address the attendees in accordance with the developing tradition. Patel’s initiatives were responsible for India’s “steel frame” receiving crucial structural support at a crucial juncture in its history.
Aarambh, a crucial component of the Statue of Unity
The Prime Minister expressed worry over career-starting silos on his first visit to the academy in 2017 and ordered that training and residential infrastructure be enhanced to guarantee that all recruits receive their training at the same facility. He also wanted the younger officers to network with leaders in civil society, corporate executives, international think tanks, and the heads of bilateral and multilateral financial organizations in addition to the senior civil workers. The Department of Personnel and Training provided the academy with a clear directive to launch the immersive, interactive Aarambh program at the beginning of 2019. The PM and the officer trainees’ direct and open discussion was the centerpiece of this program and its succeeding iterations. In 2020 and 2021, this tradition of interaction persisted, but in an “online manner.” The officers will once again have the opportunity to hear the PM discuss his plans for India this year.
