Ibrahim Ali Khan to make his Bollywood debut opposite Khushi Kapoor in Karan Johar’s Nadaaniyan

Ibrahim Ali Khan is poised to make his debut in Bollywood alongside Khushi Kapoor in Karan Johar’s Nadaaniyan. The initial poster for the movie, together with its title, was revealed on Saturday morning. The movie will be launching exclusively on Netflix. The movie will also signify the first project of director Shauna Gautam, who served as an assistant director under Karan Johar on Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

The poster shows Ibrahim and Khushi, wearing casual attire, seated on a green field in a semi-embrace while gazing at the camera. The poster was unveiled shortly after Karan Johar announced that he would be launching Ibrahim through his production company, Dharmatic Entertainment. Khushi playfully hinted at her participation in the project by sharing a mysterious photo of a man (later identified as Ibrahim) on her Instagram on Friday night.

A statement from Netflix characterizes Nadaaniyan as a romantic tale. The summary states: “There’s nothing comparable to the thrill and memorable sensation of experiencing love for the first time.” Netflix is thrilled to unveil Nadaaniyan, a young adult romance drama that portrays the enchantment, chaos, and purity of first love. At its core are Piya, a courageous and vibrant girl from South Delhi, and Arjun, a resolute middle-class boy from Noida. As their entirely distinct worlds intersect, they set off on an adventure brimming with mischief, emotion, and the delightful chaos of first love.

Nadaaniyan features Mahima Chaudhary, Suniel Shetty, Dia Mirza, and Jugal Hansraj. The movie is created by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra under the Dharma Entertainment label.

Ibrahim is the younger child of actors Saif Ali Khan  and Amrita Singh. His elder sister, Sara Ali Khan, is also an actor. Ibrahim began his film journey as an assistant director in Dharma Productions’ film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani in 2023 before moving to acting. Nadaaniyan will be his first release, followed by Sarzameen. The Kayoze Irani film also stars Kajol.
