Actor Varun Dhawan became a father to a newborn girl earlier this year, beginning a new chapter in his life. He claimed that having children has given him a renewed sense of responsibility in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India.
Varun said, “I think when any individual, any man becomes a parent, for the mother it is a different experience, I feel she becomes a tigress, that moment only something happens. But, as a man, I’d say, that when we become parents, for some reason, you feel a protection towards your daughter. I am sure you feel for sons also, but towards the daughter… If anyone causes even so much (little) harm to her I’d kill them. I am dead serious when I say that. Literally, I’d kill them.”
He also reflected on his childhood experiences, and added, “I started understanding my father, David Dhawan, a little better, his insecurities, his hyper behaviour, his anxiety about, ‘Be home at time’. He’s calling my mom… He just wanted everyone to be together as a tribe, as a pack. I would never get it, I’d be like, ‘What is his issue?’ I am not a child, why does he want to keep me near him.”
On June 3, Natasha Dalal and the wife of actor Varun Dhawan gave birth to a child in a hospital in Mumbai. The actor announced the birth of his daughter on Instagram. “Our baby girl is here, Thank you for all the good wishes for the mama and the baby,” Varun wrote as the description for the photo. On Father’s Day, he showed his daughter the first picture. Varun offered a glimpse of his infant.
During an interview with Amitabh Bachchan on his show, Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, Varun just revealed the name. The devoted father sang a ballad he had written for his daughter during his visit, showcasing his artistic side. Varun revealed that he and Natasha had named their tiny bundle of joy Lara as the tearful moment came to an end.
In 2021, Varun and Natasha tied the knot in a modest ceremony. Earlier this year, in February, the couple shared a cute monochromatic photo to announce their pregnancy. “We are pregnant,” was the caption for the photo. I need your love and blessings, #myfamilymystrength.
