In The Presence Of The Finance Minister, A Halwa Ceremony Was Held On January 26
The customary Halwa ceremony, which officially began the budget document preparation process, was held on January 19 in the presence of Finance Minister Niramala Sitharaman.
This time, Republic Day and the Halwa ritual fell on the same day.
The Union Budget for 2023–24 will likewise be delivered electronically, just as the previous two budgets, it was announced.
This event was previously used to launch the Budget printing process. However, for the first time, the Budget for 2021–22 was distributed digitally. Since the first Budget of independent India on November 26, 1947, the documents had never been printed by hand.
On February 1, 2023, the Union Budget for 2023–24 is scheduled to be announced.
After the finance minister has finished presenting the budget to Parliament on February 1, 2023, the budget materials will be made available on the Union Budget Mobile App for both the Android and Apple OS platforms, according to the statement.
The mobile app will make it easier to view all 14 Union Budget documents, including the Constitutionally required Annual Financial Statement (often referred to as the Budget), Demand for Grants (DG), Finance Bill, etc.
