India Issues Urgent Advisory, Asks Citizens to Exit Iran Immediately Amid Rising Tensions

The Government of India has issued a fresh and urgent advisory asking all Indian nationals residing in Iran to leave the country without delay, citing a rapidly evolving security situation in the region. The advisory, released by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), comes amid escalating geopolitical tensions in West Asia that have raised concerns over the safety of foreign nationals, including Indians. The Indian Embassy in Tehran has strongly urged citizens to “exit immediately” or do so “expeditiously” using available commercial means or other arrangements coordinated through official channels.

In its communication, the embassy emphasized that Indian nationals must remain in constant contact with diplomatic authorities and strictly adhere to instructions issued by officials. A key warning highlighted in the advisory cautioned citizens against attempting to cross international borders independently without prior consultation with the embassy.
