The eagerly awaited India Post Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) results for 2024 are set to be announced shortly. The Department of Posts will soon release the merit list and cut-off details for this year’s recruitment. Candidates can access the Gramin Dak Sevak merit list by visiting the official India Post GDS Online Portal at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
This recruitment drive aims to fill numerous Gramin Dak Sevak positions across 23 postal circles throughout the country. The number of positions available varies by state, with significant vacancies including 2,718 in Rajasthan, 2,558 in Bihar, 4,588 in Uttar Pradesh, 4,011 in Madhya Pradesh, and 1,338 in Chhattisgarh, among others. The merit list will be based on the marks obtained in the Secondary School Examination (10th grade) from recognized boards, with scores converted to percentages up to four decimal places.
Candidates who have applied for the Gramin Dak Sevak positions should keep an eye on the India Post website and the GDS Online Portal for updates. Once the merit list is published, those who are shortlisted will receive notifications regarding their results and the dates for physical verification through SMS to their registered mobile numbers and email alerts to their registered email addresses.
Shortlisted candidates will need to attend a document verification session as part of the recruitment process. During this session, they will be required to present the original documents along with two sets of self-attested photocopies. Essential documents for verification include the marks sheet, identity proof, caste certificate, PWD certificate, EWS certificate, transgender certificate, proof of date of birth, and a medical certificate issued by a government hospital or health center. Additionally, candidates applying for positions in Arunachal Pradesh will need to provide a certificate from the competent authority verifying their knowledge of local or tribal dialects.
As the announcement of the merit list and cut-off marks approaches, candidates are advised to regularly check the official India Post website for the latest updates and ensure they have all necessary documents ready for verification. This will help streamline the process and facilitate a smoother transition from the selection phase to the appointment phase for the Gramin Dak Sevak roles.
