India–UK Education and Maritime Security Cooperation Strengthens with Key Agreements

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar joined UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to witness major milestones in India–UK collaboration across education and maritime security.
The event included the handing over of the Letter of Approval to the University of Liverpool for establishing its new campus in Bengaluru, marking a significant expansion of global higher education in India. Additionally, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between King’s College London and the National Maritime Foundation to set up the Regional Maritime Security Centre for Excellence.
Officials highlighted that these initiatives will strengthen academic exchange, research collaboration, and strategic maritime cooperation, reflecting deepening ties between India and the United Kingdom in key knowledge and security sectors.
