Indian Embassy in Washington, DC to celebrate Holi on March 16 in Dupont Circle

The world is getting ready to celebrate the festival of colours and Washington, DC will not be falling behind.

 

12 March 2025- Join the Indian Embassy in celebrating Holi with traditional dancers, a live DJ, and vibrant color throwing! On Sunday, March 16, 2024, from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m., Dupont Circle in DC will come alive with India’s most colorful festival. The festivities kick off in Dupont Circle Park with music by DJ Neil, followed by captivating Indian cultural performances from Studio Dhoom and Kathak Dancer Artist. At 2:00 p.m., the celebration moves to The Ven Hotel for lively dancing and the iconic color throwing. Don’t miss this joyous event!

“We are so excited to be partnering with The Ven hotel to expand this popular festival – now in its third year,” said Patrick Kain, Chair of the Dupont Circle BID. “Dupont Circle is a unique neighborhood with 40 embassies, and we are glad to feature India.”

The rest of the city will also feature smaller celebrations and parties! This marks the third annual Holi celebration at Union Market, hosted in collaboration with Indian restaurants RASA and DC Dosa. Guests can enjoy an evening filled with authentic Indian cuisine, vibrant music, dancing, cocktails, and festive traditions—including the iconic color throwing. The event is free and open to the public, with participation available on a first-come, first-served basis.
