Indian Museum organized seminar on Medieval history of urban West Bengal with focus on Triveni -Saptagram

Indian Museum organized One -Day seminar on rich history of West Bengal in medieval period of India with special focus on Triveni -Saptagram and their contribution in evolution of economy , culture and religion and demography on 20th December 2023 at its premises in Kolkata.
The day long seminar was attended by Sanskar Bharati Secretary West Bengal & National Management Committee member Smt. Nilanjana Roy , Shri Gautam De Culture specialist and former Diplomat and Regional Director of ICCR Kolkata , Shri Kanchan Banerjee Historian and author from USA , Dr. Madhuparna RoyChoudhary of Calcutta University, Dr. Sayan Bhattacharya Education Officer of Indian Museum, several Researchers & Scholars of history from different institutions of higher education across West Bengal.
Sadhan Mukherjee Vice President of Bangla Abar and General Secretary of Triveni Kumbha Organising Committee was felicitated by Indian Museum for his contribution in area of promotion of rich cultural heritage of West Bengal.
During medieval period in India Bengal was center of trade with many regions on the Earth. Saptagram in Bengal which had rich Indic cultural heritage was a riverine port town for trade with different regions of the planet.
