Infosys Co-Founder Kris Gopalakrishnan Faces Case Over “Casteist Threats”

On Monday, a case was filed against Infosys co-founder Senapathy Kris Gopalakrishnan, ex-IISc Director Balaram, and 16 others under the Prevention of SC/ST Atrocities Act. The case was officially recorded at the Sadashiva Nagar police station following the orders of the 71st city civil and session court (CCH).
The complainant, Durgappa, a member of the tribal Bovi community, worked as a faculty member at the Centre for Sustainable Technology at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc).
He asserted that in 2014, he was wrongly involved in a honey trap case and was therefore removed from service. He also claimed that he faced caste-based harassment and intimidation. The other persons implicated in this matter are Govindan Rangarajan, Sridhar Warrier, Sandya Vishwswaraih, Hari K V S, Dasappa, Balaram P, Hemalata Mhishi, Chattopadyaya K, Pradeep D Sawkar, and Manoharan.
There was no prompt response from the IISc faculty or from Kris Gopalakrishnan, who is also a member of the IISc Board of Trustees.
