Sister Nivedita University organised Cyber Security awareness program in the presence of special experts who hold boundless knowledge on Cyber Crimes and spreading awareness with their expertise to the students of Sister Nivedita University. On October 29, Sister Nivedita University held a seminar on Cyber awareness with the students to make them conscious about the Cyber Crimes and how to protect their personal data’s from hacking by keeping themselves update through Cyber Awareness. Key speakers for the seminar were Hon’ble minister of Information Technology and Electronics, Govt. of West Bengal Shri Babul Supriyo, Shri Sanjoy Das Jt. Secretary Department of IT&E, Govt. Of West Bengal and Mr Sandeep Sengupta, Director ISOAH. The welcome speech on highlighting the key points of the event and Cyber Security was given by Prof. Dr. Dhruvajyoti Chattopadhyay, Vice chancellor of Sister Nivedita University, he said “The reason behind organising Cyber Security Awarness Program is because we all know how important cybersecurity awareness is becoming in our day to day life because of some security threats and cyber-attacks. Today due to high internet penetration, cybersecurity is one of the biggest need of the world as cybersecurity threats are very dangerous to the country’s security. I am sure after today’s seminar all of us are going to share the idea of Cyber Awarness to our known people only then the Program will be marked successful”. Hon’ble minister of Information Technology and electronics, Govt. of West Bengal Shri Babul Supriyo shared his knowledge on how he keeps himself protected and aware from any Cyber Attacks and also recommended some relevant tips on how to keep the personal data protected with the students of Sister Nivedita University. Second eminent guest presented in the seminar was Shri Sanjoy Das Jt. Secretary Department of IT&E, Govt. Of West Bengal, who shared a power point presentation having in-depth Information on Cyber Awareness and Ethical Hacking. Third guest of the seminar was Mr Sandeep Sengupta, Director ISOAH who enlightened the seminar with his extensive knowledge and experience on Cyber Security it’s pros & cons and steps one can take to keep themselves protected from Cyber Attacks. He also distributed a comic book on cyber awareness to the students of Sister Nivedita University.
