International Women’s Day Celebrated at Birla Industrial & Technological Museum

International Women’s Day was celebrated across the world on March 8, 2026, recognizing the achievements, struggles, and invaluable contributions of women in society. The day also highlights important discussions on women’s rights, equality, and empowerment, encouraging communities to build a more inclusive and progressive future.
In Kolkata, the occasion was marked with a special program at the Birla Industrial & Technological Museum. A seminar was organized under the supervision of Tarun Kumar Das, along with Gopal Sir and other officials of the institution. The event focused on the theme of women achieving new heights in education and science through talent, dedication, and hard work.
The program featured several engaging activities aimed at inspiring young minds and promoting scientific awareness. A Special Science Show was presented for participants, highlighting the role of scientific thinking in everyday life. An Open House Quiz on the theme “Science and Superstition” encouraged students to question myths and understand scientific reasoning. Another interactive session titled “Women in Science” showcased the remarkable achievements of women scientists and innovators who have made significant contributions to the scientific community.
Participants actively took part in the discussions and competitions, and winners were awarded prizes to encourage curiosity and learning.
The event concluded with the message that Women’s Day is not just a celebration but also a reminder of the ongoing journey toward equality and respect for women.
