Isro Chairman Upon Launch Of Biggest Rocket: “Our Diwali Begins”

Diwali began a day early for the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), according to chairman Dr. S. Somanath, with the successful launch of the largest rocket carrying 36 communication satellites. Dr. Somanath announced during a press conference that Chandrayaan 3 is nearly ready. “Chandrayaan-3 is nearly finished. Testing and final integration are almost finished. We want to do it a little later because there is still some unfinished testing. Two spots were open, one in February and the other in June. When it comes to the launch, we’d like to use June 2023 “He stated, according to news source ANI.
About 75 minutes after the rocket lifted off from this spaceport, all 36 satellites were placed into their orbits. After the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV) mission rendered the satellites useless in August, the success left the anomaly in the rearview.
Somanath, who is also the Secretary for the Department of Space, described the expedition as historic and gave Prime Minister Narendra Modi credit for his support of the operation.
Chandrayaan-3 is anticipated to launch in June. Chandrayaan-3 was designed to show off India’s ability to do a soft landing on a celestial body. The expected remaining life of the current orbiter is seven years.
The mission was revealed months after the Vikram lander from Chandrayaan-2 crashed-landed on the moon’s surface in September 2019, about 2.1 kilometers from its intended location.
Chandrayaan-3 was initially supposed to launch in late 2020 or early 2021, however, the Covid-19 pandemic forced a postponement.
Before the second wave of the epidemic in April, ISRO had completed fabricating the propulsion system for Chandrayaan-3. Incorporating the lander and propulsion systems, multiple tests were slated for the middle of the year.
