Jaipur gas truck crash: CCTV footage shows flames sweeping surrounding building shortly after the disaster

CCTV footage from a home near the site where a gas truck crashed with other cars on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway in Rajasthan shows flames devouring the premises in seconds and leaving a path of devastation.Other footage showed smoke enveloping a roadway after the truck crashed with other cars, resulting in a boom and fire.
The horrific crash, which killed at least seven people and injured over 35, transformed a section of the Jaipur-Ajmer highway into an inferno on Friday morning, with over 30 vehicles engulfed in flames and dense black smoke filling the sky. The event occurred near a gas pump.According to officials, some persons may have been unable to exit their automobiles and were burnt on the inside.
According to witnesses, flames could be seen from about a kilometre away as ambulances and fire trucks hurried to the incident site. According to Rajasthan health department authorities, seven individuals were killed in the incident, with more than 35 wounded. Police said the issue will be obvious once all of the vehicles were carefully inspected.
Home Minister Amit Shah also spoke to the Rajasthan chief minister and took stock of the situation. In a post in Hindi on X, the chief minister said, “Deeply saddened to hear the news of casualties in the gas tanker fire incident on the Jaipur-Ajmer National Highway. As soon as the information about the incident came, I went to the SMS Hospital and directed the doctors there to provide immediate necessary medical facilities and take proper care of the injured.”
Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph and other officials of the department were at the spot on the highway. Khimsar told reporters that nearly half of the injured brought to the hospital were in very critical condition. “All doctors, resident doctors and nursing staff were called in to manage the situation. Another ward has been opened so that patients can be accommodated. Some people got primary treatment in nearby hospitals,” he said.
