Thailand, a favorite international destination for Indian travelers, is celebrating the “Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism & Sports Year 2025.” As part of efforts to boost tourism, IndiGo has launched a new daily flight route between Kolkata and Phuket. The inaugural flight took off on December 27, 2024, with a celebratory cake-cutting ceremony at Kolkata’s NSCB Airport, attended by IndiGo crew members and airport authorities.
Phuket, a popular destination among Indian tourists, will now be more accessible with convenient flight schedules. On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, flight 6E 1901 will depart Kolkata at 6:00 AM IST and reach Phuket by 10:40 AM local time. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, the flight will leave at 6:50 AM IST, arriving at 11:35 AM local time. On Sundays, it will depart at 6:50 AM IST and land in Phuket at 11:40 AM.
Return flights 6E 1902 will depart Phuket at varying times between 11:40 AM and 12:40 PM local time, landing in Kolkata in the early afternoon.
Meanwhile, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is inviting visitors to welcome the New Year with the “Amazing Thailand Countdown 2025.” The event at Nagaraphirom Park along Bangkok’s Chao Phraya River, set against the iconic Wat Arun, promises spectacular celebrations featuring global icons like BamBam and nationwide festivities.
This new flight route and festive activities mark a vibrant start to Thailand’s tourism celebrations in 2025.
